The Rewards of Patience

Patience leads to earthly benefits.
"The Lord restored Job's losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before." (Job 42:10)

Patience provides us a better end than the present.
"God will render to each one according to his deeds: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality." (Romance 2:6-7)

Patience wins the approval of God.
"What credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God." (1 Peter 2: 20)

Patience perfects our character.
"Let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect." (James 1:4)

Patience gives us hope.
"Whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of Scriptures might have hope." (Romans 15:4)

Patience provides us with God's power.
"Walk worthy of the Lord,... strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy." ( Colossians 1:10)

Patience enables us to inherit God's promises.
"Do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises." (Hebrews 6:11-12)

We're all set!

Yes, finally... we (sibling, sibling's bf, bf, cousin) are all set for our NEW YORK trip this coming Oct. 24-27th. 11 days to go and HELLO NEW YORK! Yahoooo! This will be our very first trip altogether outside California and boy we have nothing in mind but to have FUN! We all worked our butt off just to have this weekend vacay and nothing can stop us now. Hahaha! Hopefully, I can take lot of pictures to share with you all. Anyway, here's our itinerary:

Oct. 24

6:00 a.m: head to the airport
8:50 a.m: departure See you later BAY AREA!
4:50 p.m: arrival Hello BIG APPLE!
5:20 p.m: check-in at the Holiday INN
6:00 p.m: dinner
8:00 p.m: swimming at the hotel's pool
9:30 p.m: sleep

Oct. 25-26

6:00 a.m: breakfast
6: 30 a.m: get ready for FUN day!
7:30 a.m: head to the TOUR station
8:00 a.m: 8:00 p.m TOUR around NEW YORK
8:30 p.m: head back to the hotel for dinner and change
9:30 p.m: night out
12:00 a.m: sleep

Oct. 27

8:00 a.m: breakfast
8:30 a.m: packed stuff
9:00 a.m: get ready for shopping
9:30 a.m: shop at downtown
12:00 p.m: LUNCH break
1:00 p.m: continue shopping
4:00 p.m: head back to the hotel and check-out
4:30 p.m: check-in at the airport
7:00 p.m: departure =(
10:00 p.m: arrival

Why do you love this picture?
I'm not being conceited... you don't understand. On that day, I actually found out that I've lost 12lbs. after 4 months of NO RICE diet. I'm sooooo proud of myself. It feels awesome!

When people are being selfish.

Now, I am allowing you to drink with the boyfriends... but of course, not too much and not when you're driving. *wink* You're a grown up now and I'm very proud of all your achievements. I'm glad that you and Miguel are doing great, your relationship with your parents, your work, and your school. I just pray that you'll have many more birthdays to come and may He continue to give you good health. Friends for keeps!
